UID names displayed on SDS 150

So I was listening to Regional Interops on KCMO MARRS during the World Cup on Jun 11, and noticed that some of the unit IDs displayed with a name like "KCF-FR148" while others displayed the UID numbers. I have not programmed names for any of the UIDs and it is only happening on my SDS 150. My SDS 200 isn't showing the names at all. Has anyone else noticed this? I'm wondering if the SDS 150 is pulling some of the names OTA?

Edit: I've also noticed it occurs on KC Fire channels as well so not just limited to Reg-Com. Cool, but weird!

Not sure on P25 but I think DMR and I know NXDN you can assign an ALLIAS to each radio to transmit

I don't think it has anything to do with something I assigned since I haven't assigned anything.

I was hoping to hear from people in the Kansas City area who listen to the MARRS trunk system to see if anyone else has experienced this.

The ALLIAS I was posting about was done by the Radio System Programmers not you.

Let me rephrase my original question: I have not notice that the UIDs on the KCMO MARRS site have started being named by the system programmers since I usually listen to the KCMO MARRS on my SDS 200, not my SDS 150. Is this something new that is being pushed out or has it always been this way and I missed it since it only shows up on the SDS 150? Does anyone know if all the UIDs will eventually be named by the programmers since right now it appears only a handful of UIDs are being named?

I am also curious that it only shows up on the SDS 150 and not the SDS 200, but that might be a better question for the Uniden Tech Questions forum.

My SDS100's and SDS200's will show the ALLIAS that is programmed in the radio but it has to catch it at 1st keyup my SDS150 seams to do a better job displaying the ALLIAS but I have only 1 County that has their radios programmed that way.

Interesting, mine doesn't display OTA aliases. Are you positive you didn't assign a name to these?

Hard to imagine an OTA alias feature could be on 150 and not be mentioned before now.

OTA aliases only show up for NXDN in my experience via my SDS100. I only have one neighboring county that incorporated OTA aliases for P25 & I had to use DSDPlus to gather the OTAs then export them to a CSV spreadsheet that could be interpreted by Proscan's favorites list manager to be uploaded to my SDS100.

Ahhhh, well I don’t have any NXDN systems I monitor (nor the key to do so) so that’s why I haven’t seen this. I know my county P25 system does use OTA aliases as DSD+ grabs them.

I get them on a County NXDN System and a City NXDN System both Conventional SDS100, SDS200 and SDS150 not my 436 536 996p2 or 325p2.
Neither System I have no inside input for so no I did not enter them.

I have a local NXDN system I get some radio aliases displaying on my 436 but have never seen it on DMR or P25.
