UID Programming

I am attempting to program UID’s into my BCD996XT using FreeScan. I have successfully entered several Ids into the scanner where the name appears upon the scanner screen, however I am unable to activate the “alt tone”, “alt level”, and “alt color” for an individual UID. For example, Deputy Smith has a UID of i34669. I enter the name of Deputy Smith into the Display location and then i34669 into the talkgroup ID. However I cannot get the “alt tone”, “alt level”, and “alt color” to properly function as it would when a regular talkgroup is programmed.

Is there a way to activate this function with the UIDs programmed?

Alerts do not operate with UIDs. Only TGID channels.
