Hi

Has anybody got an map with UK sector numbers and boundaries? I find this totally confusing and often can't align it with what maps I have. There is this chap @Su39frogfoot on twitter who always has frequencies against sector numbers, then there are sector names and I don't know if they are still current or not. CTAs and frequencies are posted here eAIS Package United Kingdom for example but I have trouble following up how this civil airspace control really works. Find it terribly hard to pick up to e.g. a MIL flight crossing the country while they are served on the CIV frequencies. There are just endless frequency allocations and often an odd one seems to be picked. Guess you need the sector knowledge to do this. Easier on the MIL freqs.

Any input appreciated.

Attached are my own personal notes. UK High Sectors. Last updated about 5 years ago so there are probably some changes. Any updates appreciated.

Not sure why you'd want sector desk numbers as they aren't used over the air.

As you know where the online AIP is then look first at Secion 6 for the charts. You will find the primary frequencies and their nominal areas within that section (and similar for the Swanwick mil areas if you look at the MILAIP).
The textual information sections would allow you to build your own map overlay for google earth/anquet etc and combined with your own listening to the handoffs you'll quickly see where they usually occur and which frequencies are cross-couple and get bandboxed

There certainly aren't 'endless frequencies and the progrssion across the country is well defined.

Are you talking about the map I attached ? I see the forum changed the resolution. I guess the file is to big ? PM me and I can e-mail it to you if you want.
