The New Paltz tower has been taken off the air and the equipment has been removed. The equipment has also been removed on Schunnemunk Mtn. In the Newburgh area, they use either the Meadow Hill Water Tower or Mt. Beacon, I can't remember. When I was there years ago, Beacon was half-duplex and Meadow Hill was used as a back-up if the phone line to Beacon went down (Meadow Hill was also good when units were inside the ER at St. Lukes). They since took one of them off the air and made whichever one they use now a repeater. The other two they use are Circleville and Kingston. The Circleville Tower is on Goshen Tpke behind the Circleville firehouse, and I think Kingston is on Snake Hill.

RX 155.385 PL 77.0

Input 150.775
PL 77.0 Newburgh
PL 82.5 Circleville
PL 91.5 Kingston

Everything is also narrowband 12.5 and all mobiles transmit MDC-1200. All three are repeaters.

"412" is the dispatch center and comes from their old callsign KYK-412 on 155.295. This frequency is used simplex with PL 77.0 as a Tac channel.

Any UHF frequencies were links from the dispatch center in Newburgh to each site. I know 463.0625 PL 82.5 was the old UHF link from Circleville Tower to the console in Newburgh and 468.0625 pl 82.5 was the reverse. 463/468.125 was the old Schunnemunk link. I don't know if these links are still up. When Beacon was a half-duplex non-repeater, it was accessed via dedicated phone line.

If anyone knows if the Newburgh site is still Beacon or if they switched completely to Meadow Hill, let me know.

EJM,

You touched on a point here that I'd like to expand upon...can anyone share an updated station list?

Thank you in advance,

SCANdal

Station 3 - T/Newburgh (Cronomer Valley FD) 284
Station 4 - Stewart Airport/Lifeguard 18
Station 5 - Middletown 252, 253, 254, 255, 260, 263, 273, 274, 277,
283, 287, 288, 298 Fly-Car
Station 6 - Middletown East...usually two units from above
Station 7 - T/Wallkill (Circelville) 281
Station 8 - T/Montgomery (Scott's Corners/ 17K & 208) 267
Station 9 - Goshen 269
Station 12 - Monroe...relocated unit from Station 9 or 5

ULSTER COUNTY
Station 14 - Kingston 251, 261, 262, 272, 276, 282, 289
Station 15 - Rosendale 270
Station 16 - Ulster...relocated unit from above

DUTCHESS COUNTY
Station 20 - V/Fishkill 259, 280
Station 21 - T/East Fishkill..usually a relocated unit from Station 20
Station 23 - V/Wappingers (New Hamburg) 271

Of course the "usual unit" can change at any time with units going out of service for repairs, as well as units being relocated from one station to another, transports, etc. Currently OOS are 259, 265, 269, 285.

Dutchess County units also have UHF radios for communications with DC 911 and other Fire/EMS units. They call out on Response 2 453.9250 PL 114.8.

Also confirmed the only three towers are Beacon, Circleville and Kingston. Schunnemunk, New Paltz and Meadow Hill were taken down when Goosetown took over Comms. They use CDM1550's and HT1250's with MDC-1200.
