Over the past few years I have used (and abused) a number of different bags and cases for my radio DXing hobby. After getting my 3” FSL, I have only been using hard cases for carrying this and my Ultralight DXing kit.

Recently I have been undertaking more out and about / portable session. The weight of carrying a hard case has in some cases limited both what I can carry and how far I have been able to carry it. With this in mind I had been on the lookout for a suitable backpack.

My search lead me to Amazon where I found this bag, for under $45, it was worth trying out.

(Neewer Camera Bag Water Resistant Shockproof Partition 11x6x14 inches/27x15x35cm Protection Backpack)

This bag arrived last week and after spending some time setting it up and testing it, I am happy to report that it works as well as I was expecting. It fits my full kit and allows room for this to expand in the future. Based on the setup as can be seen in the photos below, I can easily carry this as needed.

The use of this bag has a number of advantages:
- It is easier to carry over longer distances.
- It blends in more, I just look like any other photographer.
- I can change the setup as my needs and kit grows.
- I can take along a drink and snacks while also keeping these away from my radio equipment.

Dang, Paul! That bag has a ton of hidey holes for all your gear. Nice find. (y) (y)

And they are adjustable.
