UMass Boston PD must have finally got their new radios.
Heard them on one of their new frequencies yesterday.

453.2875, P25, NAC 617

The other new frequency is 453.7875, have not heard anything yet.
The old frequency 460.1000, PL 141.3 could still be in use.

I think 453.7875 is also P25 for East Bridgewater.

Heard several transmissions today, I-95 (128) , down along 95 through into Walpole as well. Downtown Dedham at 6am as well.

They don't talk much anyway. Traffic will pick up on the new primary once school starts in September. They do monitor Boston Areas C-6 and C- 11 Just in case something happens in their neighborhood.

Sorry Bill, I misread your post that you hadn't heard anything on 453.2875. Yes, I concur with this that I haven't heard anything on 460.1000.
I think it's safe to place 453.2875 as the new primary now. I put it into the DB.

UMass PD was using 453.7875, NAC 617 (Their other new channel) on Monday and Tuesday. On Monday they were also using their old analog channel 460.100, 141.3. On the UMB channels the "Charlie" units are student police cadets. They do building checks and yell at smokers. Also been hearing a verbal alarm for a couple of years on 457.7875, Pl. 100.0. It says things like bad call apt. 28, egress alarm service entrance, other mentions of the dining room, other rooms and apartments. It comes in loud and clear. I have no clue to where it is. The only places around are the JFK Library, the UMass Dormitories, Marina Bay or the DoubleTree Hotel on Mt, Vernon St. This frequency is also licensed to Cape Air at Logan.
