132.95 I don't see it listed in the DB. I picked up one this one because twice I've heard Center on the guard freq telling pilots to come up on this freq. Planes are at FL170 to 330. One handed off to 133.9 ZDC-Calvert.

At 1711 I heard JOSA-863

The pilots are calling it Falco. ??? From here many go direct to OJAAY.

Planes are coming from the south- Atlanta, Tampa, Charlotte
Inbound to DCA, BWI and IAD.

Jack, I don't have it on the newest Center freq list at all. I wonder if it goes with that new UHF Center freq I found a couple of days ago - 277.125? I'm not saying you're wrong in calling it Linden - just that Washington Center doesn't show it on their latest printout which is just a couple of months old. As I've mentioned elsewhere, I've been told some new ZDC freqs are coming.

I think Hopewell low is a possibility.

Northbound traffic passing through to OJAAY and a short time ago I heard a flight inbound to Norfolk from Detroit.

I found this useful site:
http://puck.nether.net/faa/

I've been plotting nav points into my MapSource program.

I've determined it's FALKO, not Falco.

It is definately NOT Linden. Rep Pts and VORTACs always mentioned are HARCUM, SABBI, OJAAY, FALKO.

Based on the traffic and checkpoints you're hearing, it looks very much like the Irons Sector 14 VHF freq. The old freq for Irons is 132.775 which I've put a radio on and am hearing absolutely nothing - at least for the past couple of hours. I'll continue to listen but it's looking like this is what we might have. I unrolled my big wall chart and everything fits within Irons also.

The Irons UHF freq has not changed though - it's still active on 360.85 as of this morning.

Yes, I agree with you that it's not Linden. However, I see someone has submitted it as Linden to the database.

I really wish people would submit those changes through me since Lindsay made me the ARTCC database admin guy, but I suppose all the admins don't know that yet.

Tin,

Looks like you've nailed it..... My charts also point to Irons Sector although I think more is needed.

Paul: Ref the 277.125 freq I mentioned earlier here and over on the MilAir thread

I'm beginning to think it was a mistake by the Sector operator at Linden. As mentioned, MAPLE aircraft were handed off from the Linden Sector to 277.125. The flight came up and called several times on 277.125 but never got a reply and went back to Linden where they were then handed off to a ZNY freq. It was a MAPLE F-16 flight flying home to Burlington. Tracing their flight, they should have been handed off to Hagerstown and the Hagerstown freq is 227.125 which is similar enough to 277.125 with a quick glance at the screen. As of now, I'm going with it being simply a mistake - especially since they never got a reply.

No wonder I had never marked off 132.775 as a freq I've heard. Thanks for the positive ID.

OK Alan, that's what I was thinking.... The route would have been Linden(ZDC)-Hagerstown(ZDC)-Hyper(ZNY). By the time that the controller realized that the wrong freq was passed he probably performed a point-out to Hagerstown Sctr and then transferred it to ZNY-Hyper.

I can confirm the following frequencies are in use:

132.95/360.85 is Irons, ZDC sector 14
134.15/277.12 is Hagerstown ZDC sector 6

Thanks Jim. We had the Hagerstown freqs listed correctly and your confirmation of the 132.95 freq belonging to Irons as we had guessed can get that moved to the correct slot in the database.

Paul, would you make that change to the 132.95 freq in the database please? Get it out of Linden and over to Irons. I have no idea where the Linden submission came from.
