• To anyone looking to acquire commercial radio programming software:

The same goes for any private transaction via Private Message. Even if you attempt to engage in this activity in PM's we will still enforce the forum rules. Your PM's are not private and the administration has the right to read them if there's a hint to criminal activity.

If you are having trouble legally obtaining software please state so. We do not want any hurt feelings when your vague post is mistaken for a free request. It is YOUR responsibility to properly word your request.

To obtain Motorola software see the Sticky in the Motorola forum.

The various other vendors often permit their dealers to sell the software online (i.e., Kenwood). Please use Google or some other search engine to find a dealer that sells the software. Typically each series or individual radio requires its own software package. Often the Kenwood software is less than $100 so don't be a cheapskate; just purchase it.

For M/A Com/Harris/GE, etc: there are two software packages that program all current and past radios. One package is for conventional programming and the other for trunked programming. The trunked package is in upwards of $2,500. The conventional package is more reasonable though is still several hundred dollars. The benefit is you do not need multiple versions for each radio (unlike Motorola).

Hello everyone,

I’m currently experiencing an issue with my Kenwood NXR-1800 repeater. I’m unable to access the Web Tool interface—the IP address cannot be detected from the radio.

Here’s what I’ve already tried:

Replaced the LAN cables

Reinstalled the software and license

Followed all available setup instructions carefully

Despite these steps, the Web Tool still won’t open or detect the device.

Has anyone encountered this issue before or can provide guidance on how to resolve it? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance for your support.

Web Tool?? Photos to help.
There's a little more to it than what you provided.
1 programming with D7 with RF info.
2 GUI interface to complete program functions
3 LMC to push license(s) to it via serial port

Help me out, your our layout on what you are trying to do. More details, the better we can assist.

I’m actually trying to program my radio with new channels, but now I can’t even access its IP address. I usually program it through a LAN cable (RJ45), but it’s not detecting anymore. I also need to configure some features using the Web Tool, yet even through the CPS, I still can’t connect to the radio

1, spool up wireshark, and turn off wifi so you only have the repeater connected.
2, use https://192.168.0.1
3, was the admin port number changed by any chance?

I don't have a nxr1k to work with at this time, but let's start here first.
Also do you have the latest fw installed on the repeater?

Pics of the two screens before the IPv4 details (Ethernet Properties and something like Network Connections)?

When you plug the network cable into the LAN connector on the NXR, do the LEDs light up at the top left and right corners of that connector?
