Unable to find a version of runtime to run this application (ScannerCast.exe)

I can't open ScannerCast.exe without it saying "unable to find a version of runtime to run this application",
how can i fix this?

Download the .net stuff from microsoft.

Updated my .net twice and I'm still getting this error (Unable to find a version of runtime to run this application) with both Version 3 and Version 4; anyone have any thoughts, I'd really like to get my feed back up on it's own computer. I've also tried both the Scanner Cast and the RR version of the scanner cast software and get the same error. XP Pro SP3
