Unable to initialize new 15X

Got a 15X today. Tried the 2, 9, HOLD. It shows the screen for clearing the scanner and then goes straight to the regular Uniden start up screen and shows nothing to scan. Have built a FreeScan file, but the radio isn't receiving the upload.
What am I doing wrong. Never had this problem with the 396XT.
Have upgraded to latest firmware also.

Make sure on the upload screen You don't have the bullet in the top box, to erase everything, if You do, You will have to upload it twice, the second no bullet in the top box.

Thanks, RonnieUSA. Got it to upload frequencies. But can't get three systems I imported from my 396XT to work on the scanner.

I don't have a 396, so I can't help You there.

Those 3 systems don't happen to be P25 digital trunk systems do they? Its easy to forget that the 15X is an analog only scanner when working with common 396XT/996XT file systems.

No. All were conventional analog: milair, railroad, and various state agencies. Deleted those groups, and imported them from RR. All is working now
