Hi all, long time listener, first time caller!

I received a brand new bcd325p2 a couple of days ago, and I have been unable to get communication to the scanner's serial port working so that I can program it.

Here is my what I have done so far:
  1. My main computer is a macbook pro. I have tried to get communication working on Windows 7 and Windows 10 VM's on both Virtualbox and Parallels.
  2. I have downloaded and installed the uniden_usbser drivers, and have installed them successfully. The driver always installs at COM3. I have matched the GPS baud rate on the scanner and the Uniden Serial Port driver.
  3. I have tried baud rates from 9600 up to 115200, with no luck. Freescan, Proscan, etc. cannot find the scanner, using autodetect or manually setting the com port and baud rate.
  4. I have also tried to get a native Windows 10 laptop to try to communicate with the scanner, and was unsuccessful.
I am not sure what I am missing, and I am going crazy trying to get it working. Any help that can be provided would be appreciated!

Thank you,
Steven

What I did to fix the communication problem was remove the batteries and press the power button a couple times (act like you are trying to turn it on), then put the batteries back in and it should work.

@IStebleton, I just tried your suggestion and it seems to have worked! I was able to upgrade the firmware to 1.08.01, and I am able to send programming to the scanner now!

Thank you for your responses!
