Will a G5 act like a radio does and determine which control channel is the active "active control channel"?
Yes, and when programming systems into the pager you only program in the control channelsWill a G5 act like a radio does and determine which control channel is the active "active control channel"?
Yes..Yes, obviously, but I’m saying there’s 12 control channels on RR for this site. Will the pager figure out what ones actually active and remember that?

As @62Truck said, nope. Id also add it will not allow you to listen to two different systems or sites at the same time as well. Keep in mind, these are not scanners, they are designed to be used by public safety agencies, especially fire departments for paging tones. But, the scanner hobby likes the decode quality and durability of them and keeps trying to make it into a scanner.Okay, and one last thing. If I want to monitor trunked and conventional together, would I be able to “Scan” a knob that scans conventional nobs and another nob that scans trunked?
It will recognize the first site it is able to decode as it scans through, this may not be the closest or strongest signal.Okay, and if I was to import all sites for the system, will the pager recognize which site it is closest two, and use that site?
Okay, what's the best way to get around this? Make a manual list?It will recognize the first site it is able to decode as it scans through, this may not be the closest or strongest signal.

Would I be able to do this on seperate zones for each system and then make another zone which you can select which system by it monitoring the system on the knob monitor thing, and then the next knob could be referencing to a different zone and monitoring that?Unless the system is Harris which will have multiple control channels . In that case you would need to input all the control channels. You would need to program one system per zone.
Sorry you lost me here, maybe because it is late and I've been working outside in the heat all day. I'm sure someone will respondWould I be able to do this on seperate zones for each system and then make another zone which you can select which system by it monitoring the system on the knob monitor thing, and then the next knob could be referencing to a different zone and monitoring that?
so zone 1 would be the zone i stay on, but knob 1 would reference to monitor zone 2 talkgroups and stuff,Sorry you lost me here, maybe because it is late and I've been working outside in the heat all day. I'm sure someone will respond
Yes if there is something the PPS doesn't like it will tell you.Oh amazing! And I assume if I go to program it and it doesn't like something, it'll let me know through the software?
