Hello everybody,

While doing some close call searching on RT 46 the other day I stumbled upon a new frequency.

153.240 DCS 265

Any ideas? Sound like its either Little Ferry, Palisades Park or Ridgefield PD

Listing locations on Rt 46, 5th Street ramp, Broad St

Thanks for your help in advance.

153.240 is not a valid channel boundary. Its probably a licensed user(use fcc search below)
on either 153.2375 or 153.245. I found licensed users in Bergen county on each frequency so you will have to determine which one it is. Strong adjacent channel signals can confuse a search feature on any close call or signal stalker or optoelectronics signal capture device.
I use an Opto Scout 40 which works well but often reports an incorrect frequency due to strong RF in the sidebands of valid frequency boundary channels. I use the updated Police Call Consolidated Frequency List to find which channel boundarys are valid.

Good luck & please report back & share with us if you find out & thanks....fineshot1

153.2375 is the new Palisades Park Police frequency. They are using DPL 365 and it is a repeater.

Yes, that particular frequency is their new channel 1. They have gone to a repeater for greater coverage/reliability.

Is DPL 265 or DPL 365 used on the new Channel 1? Also, is the old frequency still in their radios? Thanks.
