Unid Chicago area TRS's

Searching around with my new Pro96, I monitored some Motorola systems that are not listed in the identified listings here. Mainly seem to be businesses. Anyone know anything about them? Or offer any suggestions on how to find out? These are the frequencies that pop up with voice traffic while tracking the control channels. Monitored from right about on the north Indiana/Illinois state line. (I'm in Indiana)

This one is listed in the FCC database as both Command Security Corp and Illinois Communication Sales.

With these, some of the freqs are listed in the FCC database, some are not. But I couldn't seem to find any coherent pattern to the licenses.

Not much traffic on this at the time I was monitoring it, so these are the only freqs I have.

Some of the freqs seem to be in the Star Crystal TRS listed here, but some others are not.

I get the Media One control channel with the proper system id of 0179 on 860.9125, but I'm unable to track the system. Maybe I'm programming something wrong? Anyone sucessfully tracking it with a Pro96?

Not that there is anything particularly fascinating on these systems. I only want to monitor them because, what the hey, they're there, and I can. And mainly practicing with my new Pro96.

I thought I wasn't supposed to submit it to the database if it was unidentified or incomplete?

If you have the SysID, and frequencies, you can still submit it. We just ask that you not submit any 'unknown' talkgroups.

Ok, I submitted the one that I found a reasonably certain FCC listing that fit the pattern of the frequencies I gathered. But the other ones are puzzles. I'm not even sure what state or county they're in. I'm guessing most of them would be Cook county, Illinois. But I monitor from right on the IN/IL state line within reception range of about 5 different counties. Some of the towers blast signals across 3 counties. The whole area is extremely dense with radio traffic on each side of the state line. I was hoping that someone else here had came across some of this stuff and could help out.

I also wonder why I can't find FCC listings for some of them. I mean, some of them, there is nothing at all. Others have several listings for the same frequency in the same county. Ever run across that?

I watched this systems off and on for a while The data base need to be change the CC's are 937.6500 & 939.1500 btw the 937.6000 is not licensed in IL or IN maybe just a typo When i did watch the systems this what I have in my data base for the following systems any corrections or updates will be apprechated

ESP Leasing Corp some of the freqs are not even license for this two companys

The 240a system is a Star Crystal? this are the CC I have but there not licensed for trunking who knows unlicense system 100% on trunker close by

1625 is the ESP/Champion SMR

240A is the new Star Crystal 900 MHz. SMR, same compnay that owns 6E39 on 800 MHz. This system actually has 2 control channels with the same SysID on 800, as they are swapping freqs around.

The Media One system seems to have been forgotton, there has been not voice traffic on it for years yet the control channel remains.

I'm wondering

I think the old esp ltr format has switched to motorola trunked, seem to be an actice motorola protocol sound instead of the rekey.

I'm working on the new esp wireless trunked system, updates coming soon

I am also listening to Communications Unlimited SMR, updates here coming as soon as I can provide them.

Pretty good clarility on both systems
