I am not sure who uses this, possibly Forestry or other gov't agency, but I just wanted to share the info:

172.9500 MHz, tone 136.5 PL.
I am in Oktibbeha Co., Starkville, MS.

Sometimes it goes on a continuous transmission mode - where there is a constant transmission of sorts and my scanner stops on it every time (what's that called again??).
And when the thing transmits like that, it has the above listed tone.

If anyone has info on it, glad to find out what it is.
I have heard no traffic when i monitor it.

Again, just wanted to let everyone know. Not seeking someone else to do the work on this or anything like that.

Thanks all :)

I believe what you have found is a FAA frequency.

And since you have three airports in your area, it makes the above a safe bet.

Ah that makes complete sense :)

Sounds sad, but, I forgot about the FAA lol.

I'm gonna have to get those freqs and save them on my computer.

Thanks John

You were right. I did some searching on the net and finally came across a site that listed it as a common FAA frequency.
BTW, I posted the freqs on the WIKI, under Common Govt freqs, and then linked also under aircraft.

Thanks again :)
