Hi all,
Just wondering if anybody has heard this before? Sadly didn't even think to screenshot SDR# as I was focused on the audio recording.

7.118.500MHz LSB @ 0424z (1624 local) 03/06/2019. Recorded with RTL-SDR v3 and 20m EFHW antenna.

71185LSB weird signal.wav

Kind of sounds like some sort of propagation test or mode test to me but I know next to nothing so any input is appreciated

Regards,
Sam

This is in the 40m ham band - if it's Pactor 3, they're likely using the SCS Dragon modem, which is the only one I know of that supports this mode. Are there others?

I don't know if it's been licensed to anyone else for transmission, but decoders like sorcerer and wcode decode p3 sigs.

Neat, thanks for the post and responses. Haven't heard this one on the ham bands before.

It seems to be amateur Pactor 1 decoded as "ZL1SEA de KC2IOV". However it is the bursts of noise and descending tones prior to the data that have me confused, so if anybody knows what that could be that'd be awesome.
