at 11:08 My other scaneer with the rs indoor antinna I took it outside and got on 162.450 suddey i hear the forcast that they said was out of jackson, who is this?

Possibly Jackson, Mississippi

That would be one of the North Mississippi Towers for NWS Jackson. You got some ducting if you were over 50 miles from the transmitter... I will post the North MS tower ID's and freqs in a sec.

2) They do not ID as coming from Jackson

You must not have been scanning the actual WX freqs,... The 7 freqs don't include 162.4500..... they go .400, .425, .475, .525, and .5500 for MS transmitters. The only .450 I see listed is Vale,.. out of the Nashville Office, Spencer, out of the Nashville Office, and Centerville, out of the Nashville Office. You may have heard Jackson mentioned as part of the surrounding areas weather conditions, such as Jackson, TN, and for long range conditions, Jackson, MS.

Orrr under special situations, they might have originated a forecast from the Jackson, MS Office.

As I stated, .450 is not a valid MS Transmitter freq. I also listed the TN ones that are .450..... And as stated, for the forecast to be originating from the Jackson, MS NWS Office, there has to be special circumstances. Vale is listed as originating from Nashville, TN NWS Offices.

Thankis vale tranmetter it is b/.c last night i8t came in again and heard a met of paris i did hear the west tn seve weather outlook on thhere also thye mountgumey co tranmatter came in last night. so i had ducting to the north at 5 pm last night MILF how about a dx rpoerrts here on RR like scan masss has sure lindsey will try to work that into the site (lindsey great job so far)
