BCD160DN/BCD260DN: Uniden 160DN question

Hey guys

Had a couple of questions regarding the new 160DN scanner

I’m in the UK, these aren’t available here so I wanted to get one from the US, I have the 125XLT and this would be a nice addition, I know it won’t trunk and doesn’t have close call (shame about the CC)

On the 125XLT I can select the band when powering on, can this be done on the 160DN?

Band plans and steps are as far as I know slightly different in the UK so obviously I didn’t want to buy it if it’s not going to work 😫

Also if it does work, don’t think a UK firmware (once released) would be able to be applied to the US version?

There will be a EU version of it, I beleive Q1 2025 from Avera, and then it might have different bandplans to be selected at power up but not in the US version.
