hello new to your forum.i,m from canada,and i,m looking for a built in speaker for my 396t,it stoped working.uniden is back ordered .is there anywhere else to get these speaker..online somewhere.thanks nick...

are you sure it's blown ? the headphone jack may just be stuck try inserting the plug a couple times.

Try Durham Radio in Whitby Ontario, at least they can point you in the right direction.
My 396t also had speaker problems after I had it for a couple of months. Lectron Radio in Peterborough Ontario repaired it under warranty.

My 396t speaker was working fine until yesterday, then suddenly after 3+ years no sound. Audio got distorted right before it quit. Thanks for the links for replacements. New speaker ordered will be here Friday. Headphones are working for now. Sounds like these can fail at any time.
