Uniden 436 ?

A friend programed franklin parish into my 436. What steps do I take to elemenate everything except the chase repeater. I do not want to lose franklin parish public safety.

Download your programming from scanner to Sentinel. Choose Edit > Edit Favorites List. Select the FL containing the system with the sites you want to delete. Choose system from tree view on left-hand side. Click the sites tab. Use your mouse to drag and select the sites you want to delete then click the red X button to delete them. Choose "yes" to confirm delete. Write change to scanner

I have sentinel in my laptop, but have not figured out how to use it. Installed about 2 years ago by a friend but we could not figure out how to use it.

There is no way for anyone to help you over the internet without you having Sentinel working and connecting to your scanner.

Well I guess someone with a lot of patience could guide you to do it directly on scanner over the phone while you have a camera pointing at scanner, but that will really be cumbersome.

I suggest you find that friend that did original setup for you.

Anything and everything from fav lists, systems, sites, departments and or individual channels can be deleted thru the scanners menu system.

Without knowing exactly what's programmed into your scanner, hard to give specific directions. And if there is a lot of stuff your looking to delete, might be a good time to get acquainted with Sentinel.

Press Menu then scroll to Manage Favorites and press E/yes.
Scroll to the Favorites List and press E/yes.
Scroll to Review/Edit System and press E/yes.
Scroll to the System and press E/yes.
Scroll to Edit Site and press E/yes.
Scroll to Delete Site At Confirm Delete? press E/yes

Repeat for each site to be deleted. Much much easier to delete many sites via Sentinel IMHO
