BC125AT: Uniden BC-125AT Bearcat Handheld Scanner

I live in Ottawa, and im looking into purchasing a Uniden BC-125AT Handheld Scanner.
Im not looking into getting a digital one; the price for a digital one is absurd, and I dont care if I can't scan or listen to the cops.
Besides scanning CBs and Ham radio frequencies, what other public service can I scan in my region with the BC-125AT?

The 125 does a great job on the air bands, both civil and military. A lot of scanner users like to monitor the railroads.

In Canada you should be able buy the UBCT126AT which has greater frequency coverage - no gaps - and I recommend Nick Bailey's 'Scan125" programme.

Consult your local RR database page & look at the "Mode" column. Anything "AM, "FM" or "FMN" can be picked up with an analog only scanner such as the BC125AT. Welcome to the RR forums!
