Uniden BC-346XT Trunking?

Hello,

I want to purchase the Uniden BC-346XT asap but can anyone confirm this will work in Calgary, Alberta Canada for the Fire Dept trunk system? From what I can read it has "TrunkTracker III - EDACS, MOTOROLA, EF JOHNSON" additionally supports EDACS ESK.

You should be ok with the analog 346XT for most Fire comms in this area. Most police, however, are digital comms that would require the 396XT in order to receive them. The more sensitive talkgroups such as stike forces, surveillance, etc. are encypted and thus, unmonitorable.
