Here Are The Links Below... BUT I Believe your unit cannot Receive Trunk Systems so your NOT gonna be able to monitor them.. Your unit is Conventional Freqs. Only.. Correct me if im wrong

Hi Dann,
I haven't used my scanner in 15 or so years, so I am a little rusty. Back then I used to just buy a book with the frequencies, which made it easier for me.
I undestand HEX and DEC as it pertains to computing, but no so much for this.
As a 1 line example, I am not sure what to make of this:

Law Enforcement Talkgroups

DEC HEX Mode Alpha Tag Description Tag
32 002 A PD 2ndry Police Secondary Law Dispatch

Or are the bands just as follows:
Site Hex Name Freqs
001 1 Primary 500.48750 500.53750c 500.71250c 500.98750c 501.33750c

Hey Dave The best thing to do is read up on how trunk systems work one place to start is here in the RR wiki under "Trunking" The system from above as your example is a Motorola Type II Smartnet system ...Just keep in mind the unit you have (Uniden BC220XLT) does Not have trunk tracking capibilities..But if you have anymore questions PM me i'll try to help ya out..DAN
