I have a Uniden BC23A 15 watt amplified communications speaker already. Can I power it via USB power with a KUNCAN Dc 5v to Dc 12v Converter Step Up Voltage Converter? It looks to me like it should work because the BC23A manual lists Power Source Voltage DC13.8V 1.5A (2.0A fused). The Kuncan lists Output: 12V 5.5*2.1mm dc connector; Max current: 2A. The biggest concern I would have is making sure that my USB power source gives me enough power. Has anybody here tried this yet? I use an Anker 48W 4-Port USB car charger in my vehicle which gives 2.4A max per port. I assume that I will come up short, since the speaker is listed at 15 watts, but the Anker only lists12 watts. Could I use two of the USB converters to get the current up to where I need it to power the BC23A?
