Uniden BC246T Display

Hello, I have a BC246T that I've had for a few months now and suddenly the other day while it was sitting in the cupholder in my car, the screen went black. All numbers are now solid black, and the frequency and TGID area is completely black, almost as if the contrast was turned up full but I have yet found that feature on this scanner. Upon reviewing the user's manual and looking on the internet, I was unable to find how to change the contrast. I can't see anything on the display unless I angle it upward. Does anyone know how to fix this problem????

if it is still under warranty send it back to uniden it sounds like the LCD screen is broken or something else is wrong

Does anyone know how to show the frequency on the display? I can't figure out how I turned it off. The frequency used to show in the bottom right corner of the display on any hit.
