does anybody here in tulsa have one of these? if so how does it work, ive been told they are the best next to the digitals??? thanks again, sorry to keep posting about scanners but this radio shack crap is getting old and im in the market immediatly for something that wont static out, the ch 2 guy has a BC245XLT and it comes in perfect but im wanting tt3 so i can get private calls...... :roll: :roll:

I also recommend the 246. The only things I don't like about it (I'm very picky!)
- No frequency display with any text tag
- No signal strength meter

Other than that - GREAT - The dynamic banks, the instant tone decode, the size....

Now that I've got you wanting one, it's a good time to say that I'm going to sell mine soon. :) I was thinking $175 for the scanner, charger, PC cable and BuTel software. I'll be in OKC next week, so if you want to make the drive, I could meet and sell then.

PM me if interested. I haven't put it up on the "Equipment for sale" forum yet, but you might look there for any other deals.

I would highly recommend software to program it. You can do it by hand - it just takes a little while. Uniden does offer trial software, but it will only let you program 4 systems or something like that.
