:?: Hi Guys:

Just wondering if anyone who has the 250 notices any overheating when plugged in to A/C. It seems that the center part of the scanner is getting very warm and for some reason the battery life is about 3 hrs. I have tried to get new battery to see if that was the problem but Uniden is out of stock???? They are supposed to have a new supply in June...hum????
In all the handhelds I have had none have ever gotten warm like this.

My RS Pro96 does not have this problem, actually it is MUCH better than Uniden and wish I had gotten the 96 first because I would not have purchased the Uniden.

Thanks,
Chip

My 250 does get warm also. I charge the battery for a while than pull the charger and let the battery run down until it starts beeping low battery. Then plug the charger back in. I get more than 3 hours out of a charge.

I feel the same way about my 250. I mostly use the 96. My scanner also gets warm while chraging. It's supossed to. I leave it on the charger for about 14-16 hours and get 6 hours of use out of it.
