Uniden BC436 HP scanner for Honolulu

I'm interested in purchasing the Uniden BC436HPscanner with pro voice. I'd like to hear from anyone in Honolulu who has this scanner. What are you able to pick up? How well does it work for use in Honolulu?

It works very well. I have both the 436 and the 536. You will need to spend the extra $50 to buy the ProVoice upgrade from Uniden once you get the scanner in hand. ProVoice is needed to monitor the Honolulu EDACS system.

Thanks for the response. Are you able to monitor military as well like the military police and fire department?

Yes you can monitor PACMERS without any of the upgrades. But you'll need the ProVoice to hear Honolulu Police.
