BC75XLT: Uniden BC75XLT Noob, Help Needed

I know very little about scanning or scanners and was given this BC75XLT a couple of years ago and have finally found it again. I've figured out how to add frequencies and other simple things but I can't seem to listen to my desired frequency properly. I hear no traffic. The frequency I want to listen to in particular is the Albany Oregon Police Dispatch (in Linn County Oregon) as far as I can tell it is not digital or anything so I think I should be able to listen on this scanner, yet when scanning the frequency I don't pick up anything. Any help/tips/information is very gladly appreciated. Sorry if this is a somewhat repetitive type of post here on the forums.

It looks like Albany has moved to a trunked system. If this is the case your BC75XLT does not work on trunked systems. The 153.385MHz frequency you probably programmed into your scanner is quite possibly what was used before Albany moved to the new trunked system. My guess is they no longer use that frequency. Check the forums page and scroll down quite a ways until you come to the pages listed as states, click on Oregon and inquire there.​

Thank you so much, I'll look into the Oregon discussions. Do you know of any good lower-budget scanners that could listen to their trunked system?
