Uniden BC92XLT

I was recently at a NASCAR race and using the scanner for the first time. As I was listening, for about 4 seconds, the scanner would cut out for a couple of seconds and then continue again it was not continusously broadcasting. Any idea why this would occur- my buddies scanner was a constant stream of talking, mine would cut out every few seconds.

You had one or more of the following options turned on:
. Close Call
. Priority

To turn on / off these options:

Close Call: Press FUNC then HOLD (repeat until the CC "bullseye" no longer appears in the top right side of the display)

Priority: Press FUNC then 1 to turn off PRI in the bottom right of the display.

Rostena, on the surface, the problem seems to be the squelch setting on your BC92XLT.
Perhaps you could turn the squelch nob counter clockwise about a 1/4 turn to see if that helps.
