With regard to programming the BCD396T: what is the significance, if any, of the "radio channel plan" in RadioReference.com? Other than frequencies and talk group I.D.'s, (which are available from the talk group listing and the system frequency sections of the RadioReference.com data pages), is the radio channel plan of any value? The reason I ask is that the radio channel plan for my county suggests that (if the radio channel info could be entered) I could monitor other jurisdictions that I cannot receive presently because of distance.

With all due respect, what are you referring too? The 396T doesn't have channels, only systems you create for it. Are you asking about the information in the database for your county, which would be nice to know in order to help you better, or the way it is laid out in the database itself?

Again, be a bit more specific with what you are calling 'channel plan'. Then maybe we can help you out.

I think he means the listing on some dB pages that shows how the subscriber units are programmed. Other than informational/idea inspiration it isn't directly related to scanner programming.
