Uniden BCD436hp antenna

I'm located in the Hartford ct area, i need a scanner antenna that can connect to a Uniden 436hp that will receive a Harris phase 2 system. As well as most of Hartford county.

I'm using the Radio Shack 800 mhz antenna, got it for $24 at RS. You can also find them on Amazon. Works great.

The RS800 is a good antenna. So is the one that comes with the radio.

Unless you are going to build a tower and put one outside above your house, those are the two best.

Most of your area is conventional, I suggest an amateur dual band antenna. I have used CH-32s for over 20 years with great success.

I bought a bunch (5 or 6) for $4 each at the first round of RS bankruptcy sales. Have since bought a few in SMA format from Remtronix, who actually made them for Radio Shack.

thanks mark. i am willing to buy each and every rs 800 from you for $10 each. lol. did u get these in store or online? i went to out store here yesterday. the place is mostly for cell phone stuff. nothing worthwhile at all except those weather radios and they were not that cheap. radio shack really went downhill since when we were kids. but, who can compete with online sales anymore, esp with NO tax and FREE shipping. lol. if you see where to buy more online, let me know. like i said, i have 3.

I got them at a store closing a couple years ago in the first bankruptcy. Not to sell, but to use.

If anyone can't find the RS version, which is BNC only, look for the original manufacturer Remtronix, which makes them in both SMA and BNC versions.
