Has anyone compared these two scanners/receivers as far as their quality and distance they can reach out on NXDN, DMR, and Analog?

I'm thinking of the Alinco DJ-X100T but also had good results with the 436 before I sold it.

I'm just trying to figure out which gets the best quality and performance.

Trunking and lack of P25 does not impact my interest for the DJX100T

No, I haven't compared the two side by side but keep in mind the antenna is more important than the receiver itself regarding "distance they can reach". Also you are aware that the Alinco stops coverage at 470MHz, correct?

I am, it’s not an issue, but I presume you have one of the Alinco units in question? If so do you feel it’s properly priced for what you pay? I never used an Alinco and I don’t know many who have, I just want to make sure I’m getting a proper return on my investment. The only reviews (youtube or otherwise) tend to be from the UK, or of other models, not much of a review stateside.

I don't have one, if I did I'd do a side by side comparison for you. Way too overpriced for all its limitations IMHO (no coverage below 30 or above 470, no SSB, it appears to be step size limited as well). Yes the extra voice modes are nice bells and whistles, that's about the only thing the receiver has going for it but my SDRs can do everything it does and more for a fraction of the price. Just my two cents
