Hello, I bought 6-8 months ago a Uniden 436HP handheld scanner. Our area is fairly active so I thought buying a scanner would be helpful. The problem is that I don't think it's compatable with our police force's radios/frequencies. I live in Havelock, NC in Craven County. Would anyone be able to give me advice on what I would need to upgrade it, I'm guessing. As it is now it won't pick up our policeforce.
I thank you for your time.

The db lists Havelock Pd Dispatch as NXDN, which your scanner will receive with a paid NXDN upgrade. The license WPSK811 reflects NXDN but the db is listing FM so that could have changed..

You should ask to double check in your states forum as they could also be on the Viper system. No upgrade needed for Viper.

Welcome to the RR forums @3Midge
You'll need to purchase the NXDN upgrade in order to receive your police dispatch as it's listed in the RRDB, $50.00 if bought direct from Uniden (best deal)
