At about 8 this morning, my 536 quit receiving a local NXDN. The system is still being used because I can still monitor it on my 436 and my TRX scanners. A few days ago, I had this same problem and the problem was the wi-fi dongle. As soon as I disconnected the dongle, I immediately began receiving the system. The dongle has not been reconnected since then. The radio does show a signal on the screen on 2 different sites, but it's like it has become deaf on this system only. All other systems in my scanner come in fine. What I have done today is clear user data, transferred the files back onto the scanner with no luck. I have also performed a factory reset of the scanner and reinstall the data and still no luck. I have tried the LCN finder and it will not find any LCNs. Even though what is programmed is correct because my 436 is programmed exactly the same way. So, does anyone have any other suggestions? Hopefully I will not have to send it in. I have had this radio less than a month and it was bought new. And also, this is the system I am trying to monitor, or should I say monitor again..lol Bay Minette, Daphne, Foley, Robertsdale Trunking System, Various, Alabama - Scanner Frequencies

I've never heard of a wifi dongle causing rx problems so that's definitely a first. If you enter the control channel in quick search, does it decode the site data (site ID, RAN code, etc)

Where do I enter the control channel in quick search? I don't know the control, but it is only 4 frequencies on the closest site to me.

Control channels are listed in red in the database (though it doesn't look like every site has a known CC as reported in the database). Do a channel hold (press channel key) on any talkgroup. Enter the control frequency (direct entry) if known, try all 4 if necessary. Press channel key again and this locks in the frequency. If control channel data comes up, the next thing I'd do is go through each service type (press SERV key) and ensure each service in the "Tag" field on the database is turned on

Worth a shot. Either that or just program a new NXDN trunked system from scratch and just enter the info from that site, making sure you turn ID search on via "Edit Sys Option"

Well no luck with that either. I receive the system fine in conventional mode. Guess I'll have to send this radio in to Uniden. I could send it back in to Amazon for a replacement, but then I'll have to buy another key for NXDN. Just lovely. Anyhow, thanks for are your help.

Probably not. The only thing worth really listening to on the system is the police department I work for. I'm hoping that one day my chief will come to his senses and we will go on the county's P25 system. This NXDN system is a pain in the butt. I don't guess Uniden would give me back my $50 I paid for this key..lol.

Uniden will repair or replace it under warranty if you bought it new a month ago.
They will clone your serial number from the old to the new radio so the NXDN key you purchased will work for the repaired radio. No need to purchase another NXDN key.

That’s probably what I’m gonna have to do. Any idea how fast they will return it? Never sent one in to uniden, but did years ago with Radio Shack and they took forever

Most of the repair threads here regarding Uniden scanners show a turn around of about 30 days.
I sent a 436 in some time back for the clock and backlight repair and had it back in two weeks.
