Hi all well ive had my 996XT for three days now and i must admitt i was more than a little bit scared i wouldnt have any luck with my new digital scanner. At first i just turned it on and pressed scan hoping to hear something but with no program there was nothing to hear lol arrrgh . I then typed in bcd996xt programing HELP into my search engine and came across RadioReference.com i was saved lol .

What an exellent resource in just a little time and a download i was prepairing to load a program into my new radio. it took a little time and a couple questions asked on RR and im happy to say everything is working fine .Im still learning but im now sure that with some help from the good people in RR it will be smoooth sailing and good listening lol.

Thanks all
Bill

Welcome to the site. Always fee free to ask questions. Enjoy your scanner, it is a tough one for some to learn but you can hear anything in your area (and beyond with a good antenna) that is not encrypted.
