BCT8: Uniden bct 8

Was unable to use uniden forum. Where could I get an a/c power cord for the bct 8. Is this scanner able to do ctcss/dcs.

The original ac adapter for the BCT8 was:

Model AD-140U​

Input: 120V 60hz 14w​

Output: DC 12v 500mA​

I wish they spec'd the diameter of the connector.

Applying Power Using Standard AC Power
To power the scanner from an AC outlet, use the provided AC adapter with a 5.5 mm outer
diameter/2.1mm inner diameter tip.
Caution: You must use a Class 2 power source that supplies 12V DC and delivers at least
500 mA. The cord connector’s center tip must be set to positive and its plug must
fit the scanner’s DC 12V jack. Using an adapter that does not meet these specifications
could damage the scanner or the adapter.

No CTCSS/DCS, just carrier squelch.

It is the 5.5mm. I haven’t owned a mobile Uniden scanner that isn’t 5.5mm.
