Just finally got my antenna for my BCT15 today and I was ready to get going. I was running all of my programmed systems today and just out of the blue I noticed it was real quiet. No transmissions or anything from Lycoming County...I hopped over to this site on my laptop and lo and behold it was CRAWLING with dispatches! BCT15 just sat over on my desk, continuously scanning. It gets perfect weather reception there still, but just no regular transmissions anymore. I think the problem might be my Alert Plus. I toggled it with the 9 key and the Marks ETR manual says that the same button should toggle it on and off...mine will not toggle it off, only on. My question is do you think that might be what is keeping me from getting transmissions? If so, how do I turn the dang thing off?
Also, my firmware isn't up to date and won't be for a while due to the fact that my scanner did not come with a serial cable....I have 1.03.04. This is driving me nuts. I am using a RS Center Telescoping Antenna that I bought today. I doubt its that, but could someone possibly give me a hand? I'd post this in Uniden scanners but probably wouldn't get a very friendly answer. Thanks in advance. I really want to use my scanner!
