The BCT15X is a fantastic Airband/MilAir reciver. I use mine almost exclusively for that purpose. It performs very well on VHF and UHF airbands, plus 137-144 and 148-151 for any military aircraft frequencies there. The audio is excellent, receive sensitivity and image rejection are quite good. Many UHF airband receivers are plagued with image issues from 225-400 MHz. But not the BCT15X.
If you are a serious civilian and Mil Air listener you need a BCT15X. It would be sad to see it discontinued. If it ever is, I would likley buy a spare before stock ran out.
