i installed Simulcast 1 and 2, along with Creedmore IR.I only get the Id #s with no voice?? The Creedmore IR works perfect.Does the IR cancel out the Simulcasts?Or did i program the Simulcasts wrong?Or is it something else?Im a newbie and learning quick

any help would be greatly appreciated.

I usually only program one simulcasts' control (red in db) and alternate (blue in db) frequencies. For south Austin I think you could get away with just Simulcast 1, it covers from Georgetown to Kyle going north south, and from Elgin to Lago Vista going east west.

Give these a try and see how it works for ya.

they are all progammed, but i get no voice, i see the id numbers show up and thats all.

How long does the ID stay on the screen and which id's?

I would say make sure your squelch is set to zero, but if it's breaking scan and displaying id's then its breaking squelch.

I suppose ensure that it's in Scan mode not search and that the volume is turned up.

Do you hear things on other frequencies so we can rule out the speaker being broken? The NOAA frequencies are good for testing.

BINGO NEBUCHADNEZZAR!!!!!!
The squelch was turned up all the way (15), i turned it down to 5 and all is a go.
now i can hear all Austin, even up in pflugerville and round rock and others

Glad to hear it worked out. Sometimes it's the simplest things that cause the biggest problems.
