Are you trying to upload systems to the scanner?
If so, do you have a database file opened?
Does the database file contain systems?

Any error messages?

{edit} Are you trying to import systems from RadioReference?
You need to open or create a new database file first.

The software is not recognize that there is a scanner
Go to the Windows Device Manager. To get there easily, click on the "Windows Device Manager" in the ProScan Comm. Port Settings. See Step 1 in the picture.

Step 2 - Confirm the USB Serial Device is working. Make note of the Comm. Port assignment.

Step 3 (not shown in the picture) If the port is working, click the color Red "Auto Detect" button should show the BCD996P2 scanner. If it doesn't show then look for the Comm Port number in the grid and see if the port is opened by another application or ProScan.
