Hello all, I’ve recently picked up my Uniden Bearcat SR30C scanner again and forgotten how I operated it - the manual is not clear and searching for my issue has not yielded results.

Simply: How do I scan a specific range of frequencies? Airband to be exact, 118.000-136.975. Not SEARCH, but SCAN. I don’t need to program frequencies in, I just need all frequencies in that range scanned continuously as I need to hear anything transmitted that’s in range. This is for low-altitude drone work and don’t believe it should be this difficult to understand the equipment, but this is just a side gripe… any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks

For scanning you would need to program all the frequencies in.

For searching you can just program the limits.

OR, you can use the Service Search (which is also a search) by pressing FUNC-SVC and press the SVC button until it shows AIR on the display. Make sure the FUNC is still active when changing the services.

There is no difference bwtween the Service Search and the Custom Search other than the limits are pre-set.
