Uniden Digital Audio??

Does anyone have any inside information on whether or not Uniden will have some sort of Audio Gain Control like the GRE scaners in the future?? I prefer Uniden, but listening to digital on them is quite difficult with the loud volume bursts associated with digital monitoring. :shock:
