Uniden DSP Number

I noticed for number of P25 systems in the Database, that there is a "Uniden DSP:" number e.g. 123a.

What is this number used for?
Is it simply an external number used by 3rd party software to access the RR database for programing?
Or does it have something to do with setting up the 396/996 to work with a particular system?
