Does anybody here have any recomendations for a good battery charger so I can recharge the NiMH batteries outside of the Home Patrol?

I use a Nitecore D4 Digital Battery charger that will recharge 4 cells at once. It shows the charge on each cell, the voltage, amperage, as well as the condition of each cell as it charges to ful in an easily readable digital display. About $30 or less on eBay. Also the Nitecore i4 does a good job but not quite as fancy and no digital display. .

Anybody know how to find the "born on date" on a set of rechargeable batteries? Is there such a thing?

I have a set of Energizers AA Recharge Power Plus I am trying to figure the battery life of.
