Uniden Home Patrol III "Matrix"

All the features of a 396XT with CTCSS/DCS/NAC decode real-time, MotoTRBO, and other technologies included by firmware updates. To make this possible the device is basically a black box radio(s) with built in processor, fitted into a case no bigger than a typical handheld scanner.
Expert Mode / Basic Mode
1. Home Patrol Mode - Retrieves frequency assignments via GPS and RR database..(nothing new here)
2. Home Patrol Wi-Fi Mode - Retrieves Live Feeds via CAT5 or Wi-Fi signal hinged from RR Provided Feeds (Internet Radio Concept)
Mobile Model Advanced model includes 3G/4G Wimax/ LTE Support w/ Monthly subscriber fee. Bluetooth is standard.
3. Matrix Share Mode On - Additional Independent built-in Receiver(s) shares received signal simultaneously and feeds back to the web filling reception holes, major events [when shared] carry the Google Adsense approach and give the device owner a share of the popularity. Needless to say this could be a selling point to get it off the ground. Awarding those that allow their device to be available 24/7. Local Adsense support make ads available on the display based on the local GPS settings. Privacy can be augmented by associating the units physical location to the nearest map datum place mark. Example: N xx.xx.xxxx W xx.xx.xxxx is seen by the network as the closest city name or area, protecting the end-user and supplying privacy. Additionally, baby monitor, cordless phone, wireless microphones, commercial broadcast, etc.. ranges would have to be hard/physically disabled from share/control mode. With so many options here it makes sense to even add a 3rd or 4th receiver. Since its a black box radio with a built-in CPU, multi-site trunking input frequency support can enhance metro area reception. Saturate an area with enough units and the system becomes a mirror system, leaving the imagination open to cloud based radio services for even governmental application.
Metro desktop models could contain as many as 50 to 100 onboard receivers to further cloud type reception.
A- Voyeur Mode- allows local setting reception as well / alternatively.
B- Control Mode- when enabled allows remote control of a unit. This functionality could be available only when hardwired if reliability issues occur. Control mode can be protected with a password or configured to allow access based on cost. End-user receives money/credits from the person wishing to listen and have control over the scanner. Control mode can also be left as an option for RR frequency researchers to use when needed.
C- Diversity Reception Mode On- Allows other units to assist in reception of a single frequency or talkgroup. a % graph shows if another unit is in better range of a requested frequency, here the additional receivers take over and isolate the request. Only available from hardwired or stationary units.
4. Breaking News Mode On- Text stream of breaking news by highly moderated volunteers similar to incident notification network. A follow button lets the user listen to the alerted incident.
The Cost? Its going to be expensive ..Imagine all the components in a little package, and even with a successful launch through the circumvention of hundreds of conflicting technology patents....UGH..that makes it impossible to build, popularity of the hobby leads to encryption of all federal/state/county/local localities by 2015, privacy issues and illicit use would lead its demise ..LOL
