HP-2: Uniden HomePatrol-2

I have a HomePatrol-2 unit which I recently purchased. I have been keeping up with the database and firmware updates on Mondays. After having the scanner on for sometime, it will eventually stop picking up scanner traffic from the community I am living in. Does anyone else have this problem or know a solution? I have tried restarting the scanner, adjusting the squelch, and nothing will work.

You need to say where you live and what you are trying to receive. It could be the scanner is not at fault.

There could be many reasons .. including encryption.

I have set my zip code and I have also set what I would like to hear. What do you mean by encryption??
