1) Does the Uniden hp1 have Wifi built in ?

Go into weather mode select weather alert standby.
Looks like a wifi icon to me down the bottom where it says search for new.
2) It would be cool if the radio had wifi.
You could update the database and firmwear that way.
A app could be built into the radio letting you listen to the radioreference scanner feeds.
Imagine that you would be able to listen to scanner feeds on your scanner.
