I have sent a couple of e-mails to Uniden in Tokyo to no avail. Perhaps if I had an exact name they would answer.
I'm trying to get rebanding info. for the PRO-433 and PRO-528 scanners. Radio Shack says they have been discontinued and RS no longer supports them - nice, eh?
Appreciate any advice you can offer.
Happy New Year.

Uniden Japan will likely not reply to any questions regarding RadioShack models. Support questions for RadioShack models are handled entirely by RadioShack. Any answer available you'll have to get from RS.

(IIRC, those models aren't capable of any update, so the answer will likely be "no." However, I don't support and have never used those models, either, so my answer is neither official nor definitive.)

Those products are made for the American market so it only makes sense that Uniden America would handle the type acceptance with the US government agency (FCC). Radio Shack hasn't handled scanner type acceptance for about five years. GRE and Uniden do it as part of their contracts with Radio Shack.
