Uniden parts out of stock??????

I am noticing a lot of Uniden scanner parts and accessories out of stock on the Uniden website. Some examples:

I recently ordered the front case for the BCD396T. When I originally ordered it I was told it was back-ordered and would be approx. 6-8 weeks. I just got an email the other day and now its going to be approx. 6 months before I get it. What is up? Why are they not keeping items in high demand like this in stock? Just curious.

Uniden is using those parts to keep up for the demand of the new bcd396xt scanner. Maybe thats why it will take to long to get replacement parts.

The Uniden store never seems to have parts. They have them listed but have always been listed as back ordered as long as I can remember. www.123radios.com seems to have some items in stock.
